Whenever we move somewhere, and we do this often (5 times in 5 years, to be exact), the first thing I do in a new place is search for a quiet place near the water. I need the water, and I always have. I need the quiet, I need the changing tides, I just need the water plain and simple.
I happened to find Lighthouse Point Park when we first moved to New Haven, Connecticut, but it took me several visits before I found this little marshed path that not many people know about. As soon as I found it, I knew it’d be perfect for undisturbed family photos. The little path (that is just everything that Coastal Connecticut should be) between the tall marsh grass has hosted several of my photo sessions, as well as been a place I have gone to sit and think.
McGowan family, so happy to have photographed you in one of my favorite New Haven spots. Your family session at Lighthouse Point Park is one of my favs!
