Edgerton Park, Connecticut | Snowy Engagement Session

Engagements

February 23, 2019

Before we moved from New Haven, a friend of my husband’s texted him to tell him they’d seen me on Tinder. Obviously, they were a little concerned that I was hunting for a new husband. 😉 What actually had happened is that someone had stolen my profile photo and name and was apparently looking to catfish. I feel like that’s pretty common for online dating and apps, but that’s not what happened when I met Missy on Bumble.

Let me explain a little further before you are convinced I am hunting for a new husband. Bumble has an option to find friends in your area. Because I was pretty lonely during our first year in New Haven, I gave it a go. Missy was the first (and only) friend I made on Bumble Friends, but she’s definitely the best kind of friend I could have found on there. I’ve known her for several years, and watched her go from girl friend, to fiancee, to very happy wife and dog mom.

Jared and Missy are so adorable together, and I was ecstatic when she wanted to do an engagement session outside in early March. We hoped for snow, and we got snow! Edgerton Park in New Haven has a really cool greenhouse, and we were able to use that as well. And, for the icing on the pupcake, they brought their tiny Golden Retriever for a few shots at the end. You have GOT to spy that photo of Bear at the end.
